碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 模具工程系 / 99 / This study investigates mechanical behaviors of hull structure of a power boat under wind effects utilizing finite element method. The study assumes that fluid is non-viscous and incompressible, and the incident wind angle is 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 135°, and 150°, respectively. The original design of the boat is modified by using different frame structures, frame numbers, and frame spaces at cockpit position to reduce the stress, and have better durability. The stress analysis and fatigue analysis show that the wind affects the boat structure deformation the most at incident angle of 90 degrees. The results also indicate that the boat model with three frames and frame space of 0.3m can reduce the stress considerably. In addition, the frame structures with chamfered bracket and without side frame are demonstrated to have better endurance, and decrease the stress.
