A Feasibility Study of Mobile Museum on the Sea for the Indigenous culture in Taiwan / 台灣原住民海上行動博物館建構可行性評估

碩士 / 國立東華大學 / 藝術創意產業學系 / 99 / Nowadays the development and research of marine affairs,marine trade, ocean leisure activities and navigation technology in Taiwan is not left behind by other developed countries in the world; however the ocean culture and education concepts of people has not kept up, because the factors of military and policy deeply affected the ocean culture and education in the past, people in Taiwan are afraid to leave land to sail out to sea. The research uses a mobile museum as the major theme, discussing the feasibility of constructing a platform serving as a mobile vehicle. By using the concept of Society and Communication Theory of the New Museology in 1980s, and serving this mobile museum on sea to be a media to popularize ocean culture in Taiwan. This research also discuss the feasibility of, first: types of mobile museum on sea, second: contents, modes and functions and, third: the possible modes of mobile museum on sea. Is adapted as the methodology for this research, Delphi method. The experts from areas of Indigenous ocean culture, museology, ship engineering, management and operation are interviewed. Their comments and suggestions are gathered, analysed, and summarized. It is concluded that the concept of the mobile museum on sea is feasible and applicable. It also provides a new direction of conception for museum operator, researcher and common people. and It can also serve as an effective way to popularize ocean culture and art activities in Taiwan. The conclusion of this research is expected to be applicable in the field of both academy and technology of mobile museum in the new future.
