Study on Oceanic Education Blended into the Field of Natural and Living Technology-~Taking the Courses of Jushing Elementary School on Exploring the Coast Ecology as an Example~ / 海洋教育融入自然與生活科技領域之研究~以竹興國小探索課程為例

This thesis is based on the oceanic education as a main shaft, in coordination with the Oceanic Exploring Plan of Natural Ecology Learning Network, blending into the learning field of natural and living technology, by the practical teaching progress via the ways of teacher teamwork, to probe into the teaching feasibility of utilizing the Zhu-Nan Coast ecological resources as the oceanic education, to realize the growing situation of teachers and students after the courses conducted, and to provide the references on the “localized” course design of 9-year consistently oceanic education. Through the participated teachers, the researcher adopts the ways of acting research to design the courses and teaching by “acting, observing, self-examining, amending” and team-working methods. During the process, the meeting records of involved teachers, the thinking notes, observing records, interview records, records, videos, photos, what the students explored and learned, learning results, questionnaires, and interview data are collected. After cross-checking and analyzing these data, the followings are found:
1. We can utilize the “local coast ecological resources” to develop the oceanic educational courses of school.
2. Integrating information media into course design and teaching can promote exploring and learning interests and informational accomplishments of students, enhance students’ knowledge on the sand-beach plants and the tidal-flat crabs, and extend their learning field, understanding the living environments of creatures, learning the skills of observing animals and plants, and cultivating the sentiments of taking good care of the environment.
3. Teachers can obtain the learning experiences, and enhance their coast ecological knowledge and capabilities on course design and oceanic education.
4. Through the courses conducted, we can cultivate students’ cognitions on oceanic ecology, make students to create the senses of recognition on local coast ecology, trigger their own feeling on ecology to actively participate the preservation of hometown’s coast.
5. Students are fond of outdoor exploring activities, and the outdoor teaching activities are capable of cultivating the students’ positive and active oceanic educational concepts and learning interests.
According to the findings above, we can raise the related suggestions on the courses of oceanic education and follow-up researches for references.
