An Ontology-Based Transportation Plan Knowledge System / 以本體論為基礎的運輸計畫知識系統

碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 資訊管理研究所 / 99 / The main task of Department of Logistics in Chinese AirForce Base is keeping the equipments in functional state at all times. To reach this goal, there are many processes in each professional works. These works contain professional knowledge and professional judgments of rules and/or laws. The staff of department of logistics play the central role of developing transportation plans when needed, which must collect information broadly and analyze many related laws and rules.
Due to the complexity of the knowledge required in the Department, new staff are generally facing problems in : 1) there are too many laws and rules involved they find it difficult to identify correct ones, 2) some of the laws and rules may look contradictory from each other, 3) the laws, rules, and other documents may be expressed in different formats, which makes it difficult for integration .
In this research, we apply Ontology approach to develop a knowledge system for the logistics department, which may assist future new staff. We adopt TOVE method to analysis our transportation planning domain. From more than three thousand rules, manuals, regulations, we derive 241 knowledge concepts as classes, and 17 properties for describing these classes. We apply Protégé as our knowledge frame to develop a transportation plan knowledge system, which works well for our simplified problem domain.
