Evaluation of the Maintenance Performance of Kaohsiung Foul Water Sewers / 高雄市污水下水道維護績效之評估

碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 營建工程研究所 / 99 / Foul water sewers are usually built under the ground, so it is not easy to maintain them, not to mention to inspect the maintenance management. Hence, this study focuses on investigating the current management mechanism of foul water sewers, in order to evaluate and to improve the mechanism performance.
This study looks into the case of the sewer maintenance management in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to find out its evaluation mechanism. On the basis of reviewing literature of sewer maintenance management and maintenance performance, this study proposes a framework to divide the evaluation into two categories: responsive measure and proactive measure, and to identify evaluation items under each category. Through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), this study adapts a quantitative approach to examine the framework by analyzing the interview with relevant experts via questionnaires.
It is found that proactive measure is more important than responsive measure. The case study shows that the sewer maintenance management has stressed on reactive measure so far, so the management can be reinforced by adding preventive measure.
