碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 機械與自動化工程研究所 / 99 / Comparing to traditional street light, LED street light has advantages of energy saving, high brightness and long usage life. However, the LED is easy to produce large amounts of waste heat, resulting in situations of poor lighting efficiency and short usage life. In order to give consideration of the balance between light and heat, this study design a new heat sink with good characteristics to compare with commercially available heat sink. These characteristic will be considered for decreasing the maximum temperature and temperature differences among heat sinks, reduce the usage of aluminum and the emissions of CO2 to achieve the purpose of carbon reduction respectively.
The Taguchi method is used to execute the experiments design, then combined grey relational analysis and principal component analysis to seek the optimum parameters combination of heat sink. The result is shown that the new optimum heat sink design effectively reduces 2.62℃ at fin’s maximum temperature, and the usage of aluminum also decreases 138.9g. Therefore, the study has successfully raised the heat dissipation performance of the new optimum heat sink design, also reduced the manufacturing cost and emissions of CO2.
