碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 地理學系 / 99 / To promote the bicycle activity, Kaohsiung City government constructed bike ways by west harbor waterfront bike ways along the Love River and the Kaohsiung port district. The Kaohsiung City government anticipats bike ways can promote the city to go sightseeing as well as to provide the resident the leisure place. This study attempts to assess the landscape of love river and west harbor waterfront bike ways. This study hopes to discuss the relations of tourists’ socio-economic backgrond and the leisure goal, and also use the tourists’ willingness to pay (WTP) of contingent valuation method to estimates the Economic beneficial result.
This research investigates the Love River and West Harbor waterfront bike ways by having questionnaire survey on tourists. The valid questionnaires amount to 464. The result of landscape assessment shows that bike ways enrich water resourse and folk custom resourse, but lack of seasons change resourse and continuity of resources. The ANOVA analysis shows the difference of the tourists’ socio-economic backgrounds are varied. Their purpose of recreation and economic benefits are also different in age, education level, family status, occupation, income, inhabited area. The residents in Kaohsiung go there to exercise, and the other city residents who’s Consumption was higher go there to appreciate Kaohsiung urban aesthetics and landscape.
Tourists were satisfied with the landscape of the two Kaohsiung Waterfront bike ways. But tourists were dissatisfied with consumption and rent demand. Tourist felt the two bike ways are Lacked the management and sometimes was taken. According to WTP method tourist each person was willing to pay the biggest admission ticket price is nt91.91. The study estimated the tourist approximately can create nt.16,295 economic efficiencies each person every year.
