碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 地理學系 / 99 / The distribution of shore platform in Penghu Island: Type-A platform is mainly distributed in north, northeast, and sheltered area while Type-B platform is mainly located in south and west area. We chose Dachi coast as my research area. The research area is just 600m so the wave energy is similar. This research seeks to examine how the rock resisting force affect the development of shore platform. Profiles were surveyed using total station. Rock hardness readings and degree of weathering were taken across the platforms using an N-type Schmidt Hammer. Shore Platform width in Dachi coast seems to reach a temporary static state. Rock strength is an important factor that controls shore platform elevation.
