碩士 / 國立臺中教育大學 / 社會科教育學系碩士班 / 99 / The purpose of the present study is to examine the association among social and economic background, travel-activity characteristics, and travel node characteristics of tourists to National Anping Harbor Historic Park. It compares actual travel route patterns and the routes planned by Tainan City government. Based on its conclusion, the study offers suggestions for government agencies concerned and the tourism industry.
The study is based on a questionnaire survey with tourists to National Anping Harbor Historic Park as subjects and uses convenient sampling method. The survey results were analyzed with descriptive statistics and chi-square test.
The main conclusions are as follows:
1. Travel route patterns are influenced by factors including: tourists’ social and economic background, age, marital status, travel origins, frequencies, average yearly travel frequencies, transportation method in domestic and foreign areas, tourist information, days of travel, and locations of accommodation.
2. While travel node characteristics are not influenced by the social and economic background of tourists, they are affected by other factors: travel origins, transportation method in domestic and foreign areas, tourist information and days of travel.
3. Travel node characteristics are also affected by travel route patterns.
4. Actual travel route patterns consist of four types: Single Destination, En-Route, Regional Tour, and Trip Chaining patterns.
5. The travel route patterns planned by Tainan City government lack Trip Chaining patterns; night markets attractions are absent from their En-Route patterns; the hot spring resort, Guanzihling, is not covered by their Regional Tour patterns.
