This study adopted the qualitative research method, case study, to explore the issue that the black tea industry in Yuchi creates a competitive advantage and further achieves the goal of value creation through the development of the Competitive Advantage of Nation Diamond Model as theorized by Michael E. Porter. Based on the relevant literature on competitive advantage, Diamond Model and tea industry, this study aimed to analyze the phenomena affecting the black tea industry development in Yuchi. The black tea industry in Yuchi was chosen as the research subject since it plays a vital role in the entire history of Taiwan’s tea industry and is also one of the government-subsidized quality agricultures. As the black tea industry in Yuchi was considered a case worthy of in-depth exploration in this study, it was chosen as the research subject. The study results showed that the six factors of the Diamond Model were well coordinated and developed in the black tea industry in Yuchi so the core resources have been continuously accumulated, improved and innovated to help the tea industry there achieve sustainable management and a lasting competitive advantage.
