of The Seven Last Words of Jesus leads to the understanding of Haydn’s composition “Die Sieben Worte”, and his contributions to the sacred music in the history. This thesis focuses on the original feature and music structure used in Haydn’s “Die Sieben Worte” and also provides information and suggestions on the performing aspects for the director and members of the choir. The analysis of Haydn’s “Die Sieben Worte” are included as well for further use of performers, educators, and listeners.
