On the Application of Reliability Theory to the Probability Analysis of Seabed Soil Liquefaction under Extreme Weather Condition / 極端氣候下可靠度理論應用於海床土壤液化機率分析之研究

博士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 99 / The purpose of this thesis is to study the probability of soil liquefaction on seabed through first order second moment method (FOSM) and discuss the probability with each consolidation behavior under different wave theory. Besides, the marine statistic and return period were also discussed which connect the case study to calculate the distribution of liquefaction probability. Bayesian theory function was applied to established the mapping relationship between safety factor and probability under different wave loading.
By considering the uncertainty of wave force and soil resistance, the result of probability seabed soil under different consolidation shows that the distribution of probability density function of Ko consolidation were more wide than isotropic consolidation. Meanwhile, the overlapping areas were bigger. On the other hand, the probability of soil under different drainage condition and step loading were analyzed
Most wave height distribution were Weibull and Gamma distribution by analyzing the result of marine statistic and return period. The case study of pipeline installation from Taichung to Datang with dynamic testing result were analyzed, liquefaction potential map was established which could show the probability distribution.
In order to prove defect of liquefaction evaluation method with small amplitude method and safety factor , the study applied Bayesian mapping function tp established the model between safety factor and liquefaction probability. Furthermore, the relationship of normalized cyclic stress ratio and probability was mentioned, and logarithm relationship of safety factor and probability under finite wave loading was discussed. The results of this study could provide the reference of safety evaluation in nearshore area, and also for application in practice.
