碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 99 / The construction of storm sewer system is essential for a modern city infrastructure. One of the main functions of storm sewer system is to immediately drain the surface runoff from rainfall. Due to rapid development of economy in the metropolitan region, the drainage problem has become an important issue to deal with. Since 1960s, the authority has lunched the project for planning the urban storm sewer system. It is, however, gradually not able to meet the requirement for draining the surface runoff from extreme climate conditions. Accordingly, it is necessary to construct a modern storm sewer system to present flooding disasters in urban areas.
This study presents the analyses of storm sewer system in the area of Yilan County Government Center and re-in vestiges the early planning of storm sewer design. The analyses of storm sewer system are conducted using Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) developed by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It is expected that the results can provide useful information for improving the storm sewer system in the future.
