Taxonomic studies on the penaeid shrimps (Crustacea: Decapoda) of the Philippines “PANGLAO” and “AURORA” Expeditions / 菲律賓調查航次“PANGLAO”和“AURORA”之對蝦科分類研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋生物研究所 / 99 / All Penaeidae shrimps are marine and they have large distribution from the shallow water to the deep sea. Some species have high commercial values. Penaeidae shrimps are decapod crustaceans and belonged to the superfamily Penaeoidea. There are approximately 25 genera and 221 species in the world.
Three Philippine marine biodiversity expeditions “PANGLAO 2004 - 2005” and “AURORA 2007”, had collected 11 genera and 35 species of Penaeidae. This contains 6 new records of the Philippines to science. The new records are 3 species in Metapenaeopsis, 1 species in Funchlia, 1 species in Penaeopsis, 1 species in Trachysalambria. There are in all about 13 genera 75 species in the Philippines. Because of about 33.9 % species of Penaeidae in the world, it is proved as highest diversity in the Philippines. Biogeographic analyze showed that the Penaeidae fauna of the Philippines is most similar to that of Indonesia, while that of Taiwan is closest to that of Janpan.
