碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 99 / This study aims to explore secondary school teachers’ perceptions on principal instructional leadership and teacher morale in marine education of Keelung City. The study uses the method of questionnaire survey, with a self-constructed questionnaire by the researcher as the research tool. The samples are stratified random samples of 300 teachers from16 junior schools in Keelung City. After data collection, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation are used for statistical analysis of data. The main findings of this study are as follows:
1. Secondary school teachers in Keelung are satisfied with principal’s instructional leadership in marine education; especially in the aspect of principal’s leading teacher professional development.
2. Secondary school teachers in Keelung consider “the supportive environment of marine education developed by principal” is the most helpful way to boost teachers’ morale in implementing marine education.
3. Teachers who serve administrative position concurrently as well as the full-time ones are more satisfied with principal’s instructional leadership in marine education.
4. Secondary school teachers in Keelung are willing to implement marine education, especially willing to be involved in the job of marine education.
5. Full-time teachers have higher morale in implementing marine education, especially in the dimensions of “collaborative team work” and” job involvement”.
