Secondary school teachers' perceptions of marine education curriculum development, practice and effect in Keelung City / 基隆市國中教師對海洋教育課程發展、實施與成效知覺之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 99 / This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of junior high school teachers of Keelung City on marine education curriculum development, practice, and effect. A questionnaire survey was conducted based on the principle of stratified sampling method. The survey was administered to 600 staff members in 16 junior schools in Keelung City, with 400 effective responses. The survey data was analyzed via t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s product-moment correlation.
  The main findings of this study were as follows:
1. Most of the teachers are satisfied with their curriculum design of marine education.
2. Teachers of Medium-size schools have better perception on team-learning effect.
3. Most of the teachers are willing to participate in the professional development of marine education.
4. Most of the teachers would adopt various ways of teaching methods, especially in the use of multimedia and integrated instruction.
5. Most of the teachers would reflect and improve their teaching methods based on students’ learning outcome.
6. The relationship of marine education curriculum development, practice and effect are perceived closely correlated by most of the teachers.
