A Case Study of Elementary School Teachers' Understanding and Praxis in the Curriculum of Marine Education / 國小教師對海洋教育課程理解與實踐之個案研究

The research Issue is marine education in primary and secondary school for 100 school year. This study adopts the case study method and discuss two elementary school teachers’ understanding of Marine education,course conversion, this study founds:
1. For teachers’ understanding of Marine education, they are able to reflect on progress in reading and life situations, and the formation of educational values. In addition, backgrounds and training elements of learning are affected.
2. For the course of pedagogical praxis, Both curriculum design and text selection in different,but they both have views of teachers and the principal of the position and orientation similar topics.They have a critical and innovative features.
3. Study found that teaching difficulties mainly in the number of teaching hours and teaching materials, but adopt a different strategy, the impact was sustained, in addition to regional but also factors.
How to practice truly effective marine education remains to be done.This study provides suggestions and coping strategies, and the reference for the full implementation of marine education in elementary school.
1. Suggestions for teachers:(1) In-service training is to enhance the teaching capabilities of the marine..(2) Reflections on the relationship between their own lives and the oceans,linking curriculum and student life experience. (3) Teachers can design through multiple teaching methods to develop marine education.
2. Recommendations on education unit: (1) Schools can establish a network resource sharing platform for marine education, teachers observe each other. (2) Combined with community resources, community professionals invited to assist or use of the library.
3. Suggestions for future research: (1) Multiple sampling interviewees. (2)Study sample comparison can choose between more background.
