碩士 / 國立臺北教育大學 / 數位科技設計學系(含玩具與遊戲設計碩士班) / 99 / The design on pedagogical agent, people often use the human appearance of the agent in digital teaching material or content guidance and instructions, by rich image and text to support or replace teachers achieve teaching purposes, the agent according to different teaching target classification, role, and roles are based on design considerations, affecting the performance of agent and users, consider the style more in line with the user’s experience on the habits and visual perception for the design points.
Over the past studies have indicated that virtual character increasingly influential in education can be verified as to improve teaching and learning tool, this study try to use augmented reality and virtual reality, its real-time interactive features, in the fish pedagogical agent design, used in marine, nature observation areas, whether because of pedagogical agent different styling have different degrees of motivation to learn; using augmented reality technology to increase children's products for the existing product features, characteristics, and pupils satisfaction after use this type of pop-up book.
In this study, we designed the augmented reality pop-up books for elementary low-grade 57 students. We divided into two groups of students with different styling agents to test their learning motivation, and satisfaction. The experimental results showed that using real photos group for the design, who held a positive impact on motivation. There is no significant effect on the attention, confidence and motivation in using real photos and vector images. On satisfaction in using augmented reality pop-up book with real photos as an agent which satisfactions are higher than the use of vector images pedagogical agent.
