碩士 / 臺中技術學院 / 商業設計系碩士班 / 99 / Chinese characters (CCs) evolve time by time. Now Taiwan is the only one country that still preserves Traditional Chinese characters. Therefore, based on
social concerns, this study aims to express the beauty of CCs culture through the creation of posters.
Firstly, this work discussed the present situation and characteristics of CCs and poster design to generalize the technique for modern poster design, to name
out important association between the design of CCs poster and Taiwan, and to expound recent trends in Taiwan and the tendency of social concern.
Secondly, it analyzed the use of technique for modern CCs posters design. Thirdly, based on the former theory and categorized by four concerning aspects centered by human beings, it took “Human(人)” & “Heart(心)” as the main idea
of 16 posters. Through the deep concern about the modern social issues and self reflection, I hope this study could do something meaningful to the society.
There are some points that can be concluded after this work: for one thing, people usually think less because of the profits in front of their eyes, which
misfortunately leads them to miss the forest for the trees. For another, the original passion is sometimes forgotten after hustle and bustle of life as time
goes by. As a result, I wish this work could take people back to the great philosophy of CCs and re-experience the true beauty of Chinese culture. Moreover, I sincerely expect the work to be motivational, inspirational and able to deeply touch the bottom of people’s hearts.
