碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 商學研究所 / 99 / According to the 2009 Taiwan''s online shopping trends survey, conducted by MIC (Market Intelligence Center), cross-border e-commerce is becoming a new trend. Online shoppers began to shop from other country’s website, and the e-commerce order fulfillment turned out to be more complicated.
Recently, the global electronic commerce firms built warehouse and logistics system to improve the quality of delivery and integrate virtual information flow and concrete goods flow.
This thesis study focused on the optimal order fulfillment model for global electronic commerce firms, and proposed transportation model and build the corresponding cost function. The cost function contains transportation cost, handling cost, warehouse rent and duty custom. The goal of the study is to minimize the cost function of the four transportation model.
The study proposed some suggestions and recommendations for global electronic commerce firms. Based on the principle of cost minimum, two-stage transportation (transmitted in receipt country) is suggested to be adopted by global electronic commerce firms.
