碩士 / 中國文化大學 / 地學研究所地理組碩士班 / 99 / Abstract
Cultural activities always deeply affect the environment, and the environment is, in turn, the main factor limiting cultural activities. Both sides of Tamsui River estuary, Tamsui and Bali County, have developed better tourism trend due to the Taipei MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation) System and the Blue Highway River Ferries. This study tries to find the relationship between cultural activities and environment in Tamsui area, and if the cultural activities degrades the local environment.
This study uses annual variation analyses and the experience derived from earlier studies to determine the principal factors affecting the environment. Results indicate that the Taipei MRT System Tamsui Line is the main factor affecting the environment. It not only brings visitor population but also raise the residential population by increasing land use development and indirect effect of local tourism activities. Finally, several sustainable environment recommendations with the cultural activities in the estuary zone at Tamsui River may be suggested to the government that includes:
1. The government should act on a local sustainable environment plan.
2. Allow Taipei MRT Corporation acts as a convener to advance the ecotourism along the Tamsui Line.
3. The government should control the shipping quality of the river ferries.
4. The government should allocate adequate land area for green park space.
5. The government should provide continued guidance for volunteers and residents.
