Developing a Model for Selecting Best Foreign Dramas in Commercial Television Station-A Case Study About Korean Dramas In Taiwan / 商業電視台海外劇片採購評選模式之建立與應用-以韓劇為例

碩士 / 世新大學 / 傳播管理學研究所(含碩專班) / 99 / In the Taiwan, the commercial TV station regards audience rating as the basis that the program lives or dies, the TV station always depended on purchase personnel's experience in purchasing the decision-making process of the foreign drama in the past, because of the factor that is considered too much, and surviving that the ones that purchase the foreign drama are of determining audience rating of TV station of the relation at last, decision that so need an intact assessment structure.
This study develops a new model for selecting foreign dramas based on TV station manager’s perceptions. First, the proposed model adopts the “Modified Delphi Method” to find out the suitable evaluative criteria of foreign dramas. Next, the model apply the “Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)” to determine the relative weights of evaluative criteria, then ranks the alternatives and selects the best foreign dramas.
Additionally, a Taiwanese commercial TV station is used here in as an example of how a foreign dramas can be selected using this model. The results indicated that concerns think highly of criteria in order are drama content perspective、cast perspective、advertising budget perspective、foreign data of origin perspective. The proposed model helps commercial TV to effectively select foreign dramas, making it highly applicable for academia and commerce.
