First, the proposed model adopts the “Modified Delphi Method” to find out suitable criteria to evaluative host of abroad traveling show. Next, the research model apply the “Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)” to determine the relative weights of evaluative criteria, then ranks the alternatives and selects the optimum host of abroad traveling show. Additionally, take a well-known Taiwanese TV station for example, to prove how a New host of abroad traveling show is selected by applying this model. The results indicated that a manager of commercial TV stations think highly of criteria in order are “Image”, “Viewpoint from production”, “Professional skills”, “Personal conditions”. Eventually, using the sensitivity analysis to test criteria when assessing factors of weight changes and how about the other assessment factors. According to the research findings, the weight of the criteria “Personal conditions” increases from 6% to 96%, the order of the agencies will change. And the weight of the criteria “Professional skills” increases from 18% to 87%, the order of the agencies will change. And the weight of sub-criteria “Popularity” increases from 6% to 82% the order of the agencies will change. A manager of commercial TV stations hope hosts could pull audience to watch TV show continuing and match up the period of production. The proposed model helps a manager of commercial TV stations to effectively select News host, making it highly applicable for academia and commerce.
