碩士 / 臺北市立教育大學 / 環境教育與資源研究所環境教育組 / 99 / The purpose of this study was to understand the cognition, teaching attitude, current status of teaching and training needs about Nine-year consistent marine education of the primary school teachers in New Taipei City, and to investigate the relationship among the cognition, teaching attitude, teaching practice and training needs. Furthermore, the study also aims to find out the factors which affect teaching practice, and analyze the difference between demographic variables. This research utilized the questionnaire investigation method, and researcher selected samples based on a stratified cluster sampling manner.
Results of this study are concluded as follows:
1. Teachers’ cognition toward marine education is above the average, and the superlative aspect is about marine resourse. Their teaching attitude toward marine education is active and positive, while over eighty percent of them ever taught the environment issue. Lecturing is the most commonly-used method for teaching marine education. The main reason why they taught marine education was because of the correlative contents in textboosks. And they tend to need more training of marine education, especially about the aspect of marine resourse.They want to gain information about marine education from “internet” mostly.
2. Significant relationships existed between not only cognition and teaching attitude, but also cognition and teaching frequency, cognition and training needs, teaching attitude and teaching frequency, teaching attitude and training needs, teaching frequency and training needs.
3. This study also found that teachers who had ever participated in correlative workshops, often read correlative books, watched correlative TV programs, and browsed correlative websites, are separately getting positive result of cognition scores, teaching attitude and teaching frequency.
