碩士 / 臺北市立教育大學 / 自然科學系碩士班 / 99 / The purpose of this study was to develop the course of Flow Learning on the aquatics at Eco-Education Garden to investigate the impacts on the fourth grade students’ cognition of aquatic organisms, attitude and intention of ecological conservation behavior.
The study applied Quasi-Experimental Research Method. Two homogeneous groups of the fourth grade are selected as sampling from one of elementary school in New Taipei City. Experimental group was taught with the activity of Flow Learning on the aquatics unit at Eco-Education Garden. Control group was taught with Teacher’s Guide of Science and Technology Learning Area. The degrees of change in the cognition of aquatic organisms, attitude and intension of ecological conservation behavior between the two groups were compared. The object of study received a pre-test before the teaching experiment, and received a post-test after the teaching experiment. The study gathered qualitative and quantitative data by questionnaires and half-constructive interviews.
Time interval of instruction was 14 class periods. The results of the study were summarized as below:
1. Flow Learning on the Aquatics Unit at Eco-Education Garden can enhance the fourth grade students’ cognitions of aquatic organisms significantly.
2. Flow Learning on the Aquatics Unit at Eco-Education Garden can enhance the fourth grade students’ attitude of ecological conservation behavior significantly.
3. Flow Learning on the Aquatics Unit at Eco-Education Garden can enhance the fourth grade students’ intention of ecological conservation behavior significantly.
4. The students and teachers in the experimental group have positive attitude toward Flow Learning on the Aquatics Unit at Eco-Education Garden.
According to the results, the researcher proposed suggestions as a reference in education and for future studies of outdoor biology instructional strategies:
1. Make more use of the Eco-Education Garden and natural environment to develop the outdoor education activities.
2. Make more use of the outdoor education activities to enhance students’ attitude and intention of ecological conservation behavior.
3. Make more use of the “Flow Learning” activities to enhance students’ attitude and intention of ecological conservation behavior.
