Evaluation of Energy Metabolism in Simulate Kayak Sprint Racing / 輕艇競速模擬比賽之能量代謝分析研究

碩士 / 臺北巿立體育學院 / 運動技術研究所 / 99 / Purpose: This study examined the contribution of energy metabolism during kayak ergometer simulate test (KEST) in 1000 m and 200 m, and examined the correlation between KEST and kayak flatwater simulate test (KFST). Method: subjects were 8 male elite college kayakers who performed VO2 max test and 1000 m and 200 m simulate racing on KEST and KFST (mean age was 19.75±2.65 years old, height was 173±25.85cm, weight was 70.6±7.19kg). Results: High correlations were found between 1000 m KEST and KFST (r = 0.954, p<.05), and 200 m KEST and KFST (r = 0.741, p<.05). Moreover, a significant correlation was found between 1000 m KEST and VO2peak (r = -.743, p<.05). The total contribution of fat and carbohydrate to energy expenditure during 1000 m KEST was 26.7% and 73.3%, and during 200 m KEST was 24% and 76% respectively. The contribution of fat and carbohydrate to energy expenditure during 1000 m KEST was 43.3% and 56.7% at 25% total racing time (69.5 sec), 6.7% and 93.3% at 50% and 75% (139.0 sec and 208.5 sec), 3.3% and 96.7% at the last 25% (278.0 sec); and during 200 m KEST was 6.7% and 93.3% at 25% total racing time (11.25 sec), 20.0% and 80.0% at 50% (22.5 sec), 16.7% and 83.3% at 75% (33.75 sec), 3.3% and 96.7% at last 25% (45.0 sec). Conclusion: The results revealed that contribution percentage of carbohydrate increased with race time in 1000m racing. Carbohydrate contributed the most in 200m simulate racing.
