博士 / 國立雲林科技大學 / 企業管理博士班 / 99 / Owing to the focus on firm’s owned resources and its competition orientation, the resources-based theory pay litter attention to the cooperative benefits in the relational networks and the constraints of institutional environment on firm’s operation. This study provides an integrative framework that links up the resources-based theory with the concepts of relational networks and institutional theory to explore the effect of capabilities, relational networks and institutional environment on firm’s performance.
This study collected relevant data through self-report questionnaire from the Taiwanese manufacturers in mainland China and 159 valid questionnaires were collected. Adopting hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypotheses, the empirical study finds that: each of the firm’s capabilities and relational networks has the positive effect on firm’s market performance; institutional factors have the positive moderating effect on the market effectiveness of business to government relationship and the market effectiveness of marketing capability. Besides, the integrative framework of this study offers a better interpretation for firm’s performance than the resources-based theory model.
