The demand response transit system as early as 1970 beginning (Demand Responsive Transit System, hereinafter referred to as DRTS) appears, in order to improve the limitations of the traditional bus fixed routes and fixed schedules produce mode of transportation, most of them play the role of traditional and complementary means of transport. This study with Zhubei City as subjects discussion in Zhubei which DRTS types suitable for development. Through the collection of literature summarized for the DRTS transportation type in Zhubei. Zhubei City public transportation development survey and analysis on questionnaire investigation of cross. Made for Zhubei City business model planning, increase Zhubei wishes and convenience of residents to ride public transportation. Hope that the results of this study to upgrade the overall integrity of the public transport system and services in Zhubei.
Results found: (1) according to the documents collection of summarized four kinds of DRTS type, the four types of users who can cover all ride on public transportation. Type: commuter, connection, community and charity. (2) survey of Zhubei people age range younger than Hsinchu County other cities and towns, this using the private mode ratio is very high, so in order to reduce the usage of private mode, without increasing bus routes, recommended using DRTS operation type, to increase the ride on public transportation usage. (3) according to the results of the survey found that respondents in the Home-Based Trip of the week are in the vicinity of the towns to work and engage in recreational activities, it is recommended to use Community-type of trading operations. (4) survey found Zhubei City only has two high schools, location of Zhubei City is located in the Western half of students of the eastern half of the six area commuters without public transportation can reach, it is recommended to use commuter-oriented mode of operation.
