碩士 / 長榮大學 / 航運管理學系碩士班 / 100 / The main purpose of this paper is to apply the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) model to sieve out the indexes for container shipping carriers when they are operating the green shipping practice. At first, according to historical literature, a hierarchical structure with six dimensions and eighteen evaluation criteria were constructed. Then, based on container shipping carrier’s opinions and the AHP experts’ questionnaires, we used the FAHP model to evaluate the green shipping practices indexes (GSPIs). Finally, we obtained the most seven GSPIs for the container shipping carriers in Taiwan. They are ‘complying with the related regulations,’ ‘designing economical routes,’ ‘setting up energy efficiency design index (EEDI),’ ‘the degrees of efficiency of shipping collaboration,’ ‘promoting sustainable development,’ ‘using newly-built ships,’ and ‘complying with the ship efficient management plan (SEEMP),’ respectively.
