碩士 / 大葉大學 / 休閒事業管理學系碩士班 / 100 / This research aimed at exploring relationships of cognition, participation behavior and enduring involvement among scuba diving recreationists. Using a convenience sampling and purposive sampling , a 4-page questionnaire was administered on the scuba divers at northeast corner and kenting. Of the 550 questionnaires distributed, 316 were completed and returned. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, reliability test, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, t-test, and Pearson correlation, Chi-Square test, Stepwise Regression.
A majority of the samples were male, 31-40 years old, unmarried, university educated, holding professional jobs, residence of Kaohsiung city and new Taipei city, with a monthly discretionary income of under$10,000, average annual number of times in diving of 50. The diving duration was 50 minutes in recently. the feeling of the body of scuba diving at 3.96 out of 6. the majority ask information, completely not at fill in dive log ,with houbihu at dive site. The results indicated that:
1. There were significant differences in cognition with different level of education,
occupational and month income.
2.There were significant differences in background factors with different participation
behavior of scuba divers.
3. There were significant differences in enduring involvement with different sex, age ,
occupational ,month income and area of residence.
4. There was a significant positive relationship between scuba divers’ cognition and
participation behavior.
5. There was a significant positive relationship between scuba divers’ participation
behavior and enduring involvement.
6. There was a significant positive relationship between scuba divers’ cognition and
enduring involvement.
7. The scuba divers’ cognition and participation behavior had significant predictire power over enduring involvement.
