碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 化學工程學所 / 100 / In 1970s, microalgae was cultivated and developed in commercial application due to it is abundant in nutritional and economical value. As the industrialization began, some scientists studied in the CO2 reduction by microalgae cultivation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to establish a module of long term sequential algae cultivation system.
In this study, Scenedemus sp., which obtained from NCKU, furthermore, was cultivated in two large-scale photo-biological reactors (PBR) were established with sequential cultivation. One of the PBR was five transparent tubes (working volume were 60 L) and the other was sixteen transparent tubes (working volume were 420 L), respectively. The cultivated conditions of six week period were 8000 Lux, ambient temperature (15~35℃) and continuous lamination.
Temperature, optical density, pH and microalgae concentration during the six week period of cultivation were monitored. And a microscope was used for observation of each cycle (7 days). At the end of each cycle, the cultivated microalgae was harvested by filtration method, and the filtered water was reused to the reactor. Therefore, the results showed that it could obtained 90g (1.5 g/L) and 300g (1 g/L) of algae (dry base) in five tubes PBR and sixteen tubes PBR, respectively.
