碩士 / 佛光大學 / 公共事務學系 / 100 / The purpose of the study focused on the teacher work stress,job satisfaction,their relationship,and effects of variable of the teachers on Jauxi town elementary school in Yi-lan County.The subjects of the study were elementary teachers in Jiao-si township of Yi-lan County.
In order to achieve the goal of this study,the data were gathered using a questionnaire which was designed by the investigator specifically for the study as instruments for collecting data . The survey tool was Edited “Questionnaire on Work Stress and Job satisfaction of the Teachers in Elementary School”,with 120 responses, 107 valid responses, and a validity rate of 96.3%. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation were adopted for statistic analysis. The conclusions were as follows：
1. The work stress for teachers in elementary schools was on the high side.
2. The job satisfaction for teachers in elementary schools was on the high side.
3. Between teacher’s work stress and personal background , there are significant differences in ‘seniority’, ‘post’, and ‘the type of school’ of elementary school teachers .
4. Between teacher’s job satisfaction and personal background , there are significant differences in ‘age’and ‘degree’.
5. Pearson product-moment correlation existed negative relationship between job stress and job satisfaction.
Finally, future research into these issues may be improved by increasing the number of subjects from different regions, and also by retesting the relationships between the two variables by more samples from the junior and senior high school teachers.
