comes to public attention. Compared to other renewable energy, wind energy
has economic benefits and mature technologies and, therefore, been strongly
promoted by many countries. Among them, more emphsis is put on the
offshore wind farm, owing to the scale of energy and environmental
considerations
To build up an offshore wind farm is not only process complicated but also
capital intensive, a number of development assessments, must be carried out to
reduce investment risk, one of which is the layout of wind turbine, including
the quantity and specifications of the wind turbine, that will affect the power
generated, and the entire cost of the wind farm, the result will be reflected on
the electricity tariff in the future.
Therefore, the layout of the wind turbine is particularly important.
In this paper, the layout of the wind turbine will be studied to evaluate the
influence of the parameters of the wind farm area, type of wind turbine, and
environmental conditions on the cost-effectiveness of the wind farm. A
mathematical model based on non-linear mixed integer programming(MINLP)
is used to simulate for maximum power output under limited area.
