Line has been given lots of meanings, therefore it has consistently applied to the creations for expressing emotion by designers and artists. Lines are displayed in the rich forms through crating its gorgeousness, complexity, fascination and levels. Among numerous types of line, I chose the rhythmic curve as the visual expression method in this research, which is just fit the conception, and show the attraction of modern poetry. Therefore, the significance of the study is to adopt more novel and remarkable visual designs to convey the depth of meaning within the modern poetry.
At first, the definition, type, and the development in graphic design of line are investigated in the literature review, then Lin Shi''s poetry is used as the subject of poster design creation. Secodly, in the case of the study, the researcher further analyze and compare the graphic design works on rhythmic curve designed by idiosyncratic and unique designers or artistists in the field of Art and Design, and the related comparison and analyses of the forms on rhythmic curves are applied in this study.
The main point of this research is analyzing the emotion and thought that rhythmic curve brings to people in the form of expression, and combine with the modern poetry in《十方一念》written by Lin Shi as the subject of a series poster design creation.
