碩士 / 美和科技大學 / 健康與生技產業研究所 / 100 / Today, sustainable tourism development is the strategic goal of tourism development in most countries around the world. In Binh Thuan Province in general and in two wards of Ham Tien and Mui Ne, Phan Thiet City, in particular, tourism activities has brought many economic and social benefits to the local, contributing to the improvement of the material and spiritual life of the people in the area.
However, along with the obtained social and economic benefits, the tourism development here reveals lots of environmental issues such as: the wastewater collection and treatment system of the tourist areas, services activities, restaurants, hotels do not meet environmental standards but discharge directly into the soil, surface water, coastal water that degrade the quality of groundwater, coastal water and potentially affect the long-term development of tourism.
In order to limit the pressure on the environment that leads to sustainable tourism development in two wards Ham Tien and Mui Ne - a center of tourism development of Binh Thuan Province, the thesis focuses on survey and review the current status of wastewater management, collection and treatment system in the coastal tourism activities such as: tourism services, resorts, restaurants, hotels in Ham Tien and Mui Ne. From that, the level of environmental pollution in the area is assessed.
On the basis of inheriting the previous studies with the characteristics of the area, the subject proposed solutions for management, collection and treatment wastewater of the coastal tourism activities that are feasible for practical application of wastewater management and treatment in the area.
The results of this thesis are not expected to have significant effect in reducing the environmental impacts on tourism towards sustainable tourism development in Ham Tien and Mui Ne. However, with the results of this study, I hope to contribute to the State Management Agencies, local authorities and owners of tourism establishments, tourism services, hotels and restaurants in two wards of Ham Tien and Mui Ne have solutions for their activities in order to manage and treat wastewater in the area better, and to limit the environmental pressures to achieve a sustainable tourism development in the area.
