碩士 / 明新科技大學 / 土木工程與環境資源管理研究所 / 100 / Rainfall drainage is most critical facility in the current modern urban area, the main function of the urban drainage is to treat the intensive rainfall problem in order to increased the safety of urban living condition. In the other hand, urban or cities drainage system are important issue in most countries in the world, it is noted that rapid heavy rainfall causes properties and resident life loses which have showed the better drainage planning in the urban area is inevitable.
In this research, it is to observe the current drainage system in Gan-shi urban area and based on each area of the rainfall catchment in order to firstly validate the drainage system is sufficient to cater the water out flow. The water flow capacity calculation and Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) approaches are used to verify the overall drainage pipes.
Finally, the above two methods are used separately. The flow capacity check is used for the long duration rainfall and the SWMM model is applied for short period of rainfall. Follow these ways of approach, the results have shown effective solutions.
