Cross-Strait Policy and Friendly Relations: From the Perspective of Security Interests and Economic Interests / 台海兩岸政策與友善關係-從安全利益與經濟利益角度出發

碩士 / 國防大學管理學院 / 財務管理學系 / 100 / In dealing with the issue of cross-strait relation, the U.S. plays an active role in the peaceful development of the cross-strait relations. Therefore, the trilateral relation among the U.S., China, and Taiwan has received remarkably attention and is an important key issue in determining the temperature of cross-Strait relations. The US-China-Taiwan relationship has long been considered as a micro strategic triangle in a part of Asia-Pacific region. Base on the theory of strategic triangle, this study attempts to develop a model to measure the friendly relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits in terms of the prospective of security and economic interests. We will further investigate the mediating role of Washington-Beijing and Washington-Taipei bilateral friendly relations in current Taiwan’s cross-strait policy and China-friendly cross-strait policy.
