The Pilot Study of Developing Anthropometric Database for Soldiers in Taiwan / 建立國軍人體計測資料庫之先導研究

碩士 / 國防大學管理學院 / 運籌管理學系 / 100 / At present, the Ministry of National Defense R.O.C. has promoted vigorously the policy of self-made military aircrafts and warships. The complete anthropometric database provides applicable reference information for research and development (R&D) of weapon systems and equipment on ergonomics and human factor engineering. The more the spatial planning and the design of control platforms of self-made vehicles, warships and aircrafts meet the requirement of military stature, the more overall combat effectiveness the weapon systems perform.
For the complete anthropometric database to be built, this study investigates the sixty-five static sizes of both sitting and standing, and the standard measuring procedures. The protocol is separated into four stages, including uses of calibration gauge, garment mannequin, single and fifty human samples, verifying the measurement accuracy of LT Body Scanner. This study is to be the basis of future research in establishing a complete anthropometric database of military soldiers R.O.C. by expansion of the samples and improved measurements.
