Preparation and adsorption properties of chitosan/alginate nano-porous silica composite films / 幾丁聚醣/海藻酸奈米多孔性二氧化矽複合膜之製備及吸附性質探討

碩士 / 國立宜蘭大學 / 化學工程與材料工程學系碩士班 / 100 / In this study, biodegradable polymer sodium alginate was used to (water in oil) obtain calcium alginate via the emulsion process. 3-aminopropyltriethoxy silane (APTES) was used as a coupling agent for mesoporous silica coated onto alginate. Finally, chitosan as the substrate to prepare organic/inorganic composite films applied in the field of heavy metal ions adsorption.
In the calcium alginate/mesoporous silica composite particles, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis was used to detect functional groups. The addition of APTES showed the 1746 cm-1, 1468 cm- 1 and 1250~1100 cm-1 as new functional groups for COOH, CH, and Si-OR, and in the 1100~1000 cm-1 for the CO- functional group of the calcium alginate, and finally with the additon of the mesoporous silica there is a shift on the carboxyl group of alginic acid. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) indicated that at higher amount of APTES (0.1 wt %) small particles were observed on the surface of calcium alginate due to silica formed through APTES. Through energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) analysis, the the intensity of N and Si elements of the APTES were observed for samples containing APTES. Furthermore, for the addition of mesoporous silica, the Si/Ca ratio will be even higher than those which did not contain APTES as a coupling agent. Using XRD tests for structure analysis, it was found that 2o~8o diffraction peak appeared for samples containing mesoporous silica.
Alginiate/mesoporous silica composite particles were then mixed with chitosan to prepare chitosan/alginiate @mesoporous silica composite films. The above instruments were used for analysis as well. In addition, atomic absorption spectrometer (AA) analysis on the material effect of the adsorption of heavy metal ions in aqueous solution was performed.
