A Study on Modulation and Parameterization of Detail Design of Marine Equipment and Peripheral Pipes / 機艙裝備暨周邊管路設計之參數化研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 輪機工程研究所 / 100 / This research has developed prototypes of two design tools—Equipment Editor and Peripheral Pipe Editor, to facilitate engineers to carry out 3D piping system detail design in terms of modifying parameters, using Programmable Macro Language (PML) provided by the Plant Design Management System (PDMS) CAD system.
The applications of such tools are mainly for constructing equipment models and peripheral pipe models of the equipment sets.
The Equipment Editor assists engineers to modify the geometries of equipment CAD models and their accessory models in terms of changing dimension parameter values. The positions and orientations of the accessories can also be modified, in addition to adding or deleting accessories.
The Peripheral Pipe Editor wraps the pipe-net design method and MATLAB by PML forms, to allow engineers to carry out the design changes for the peripheral pipes of equipment sets in the PDMS environment, and produce Macro files to generate new pipe models in PDMS.
The Equipment Editor and Peripheral Pipe Editor have been tested by examples. It is anticipatable that the two editing tools can reduce the man-hours needed for constructing equipment models and their peripheral pipe models in the detail piping system design process.
