The Content Analysis on Marine Education in the Social Study Textbooks of the Elementary School / 國小社會學習領域教科書海洋教育之內容分析

碩士 / 國立屏東教育大學 / 社會科教育學系碩士班 / 100 / Purpose of this research is to explore how the marine education is presented within the social study textbook of the elementary school. In addition, this research provides the discussion for the distributive condition of marine education in the textbooks, and different situations from various editions. The research adopted the methods of literature review and content analysis, to carry out the quantitative and qualitative analysis to marine education content in the social study textbook of the elementary school, especial focus on 2010 academic year edition for Nani, Knsh and Hanlin textbooks.
The major conclusions of this research are as following,
1. The highest display frequency of marine education content is Nani textbook.
2. The marine education content in each volume presented unequally.
3. As for the main topics in each volume, the most presented one was the marine resource, and then the marine society and marine science. The last one was the marine leisure.
4. The sub-topics in each volume were not distributed unequally. The marine leisure focused on marine journey; the marine society focused on marine economics; the marine culture focused on marine history; the marine science focused on marine geography; the marine resource focused on environmental ecology; the marine vocabulary focused on area idenfication.
5. Some sub-topics were ignored in volumes, especially the marine art, physics, and legislation.
According to the research results, some suggestions are referred for the textbook editors, teachers, and educational administration, and future researchers.
