Stratage and Solutions of Pipejackingmethod for sewerage pipes in construction / 污水下水道小管徑推進工程遭遇障礙及因應對策之探討

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 100 / Sewerage system is an important national public construction project. In order to improve environmental hygiene and quality of life, local governments from all over the country are actively involved in the construction of the sewage.
Being a country with high-density population, buildings were constructed within vicinity of each other, the complexity of traffic routes and underground obstacles all contribute to the difficulty of the construction. In order to minimize the inconvenience caused by an open construction to the general public and to eliminate the issue of pollution, the most utilized method of construction is the pipe jacking method. However, in reality, the actual progress of construction is often not efficient enough to achieve the desired progress. Common causes of lack of efficiency include underground obstacles, changes in the hardness of soil, defective equipment or machinery, and issues of mismanagement.
This research will focus on the pipe jacking method of small diameter sewer for its obstacles and possible solution. First, pipe-jacking method of construction for small diameter sewages will be classified. Secondly, it will explore the differences of each machinery and its selection, stable methods of excavation of soil, and lastly the selection of surfacing plate. All the aspects above could eliminate the delay of construction and produce feasible solutions to overcome current limitations. This research will also summarize several precautions to take before the construction.
Hopefully this research would benefit the actual construction progress and that aspects discussed within would be considered when mapping the construction plan. If the constructions comply with the quality of soil and select suitable equipment accordingly, the efficiency and quality of the construction will both improve. Ultimately, it would reduce social costs and maximize economical benefits.
