碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 100 / Liner shipping industry is linked closely with the globalization trend in the world. In the past decades, world trade drastically grew. So did shipping industry. For liner shipping companies, from good profitable beginning in 1956 to the environment of keen competition at present stage, the surrounding is the most severe than ever before. While other liner companies are suffering from sluggish market one can survive and go up to the peak by implementing good operational strategies.
This research collected some studies to conclude the current keen competition environment of liner shipping industry. After analysis of the management issues at present stage, finally provide some applications regarding operational strategies for liner’s reference through the advices from experts.
This research figured out that business expansion, cost down and operation differentiation are essential for profit creating as well as strength enhancing in liner shipping companies under keen competition environment.
