碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 100 / Four seasonal sampling cruises, covering a grid of 15 sampling stations were collected the physical and chemical oceanographic data in the waters of southwestern of Taiwan during 2008. In this study, sampling and collecting CTD hydrographic in the waters off southwestern of Taiwan by Fishery Research I in January (winter), March (spring), July (summer) and October (fall). Analyzing the spatial and temporal distribution structure of different water masses in temperature-salinity, nutrients and chlorophyll a by using fuzzy classification method.
This results shown the water masses can divided to 5, 8, 4 and 4 types of temperature and salinity water masses (T-S) in winter, spring, summer and fall, respectively. There were 5, 6, 5 and 5 types of water masses in nutrients, and 3, 8, 6 and 6 types of water masses in chlorophyll a as the same seasonal intervals in above.
The cross-category analysis results shown the high clustering center value water mass in chlorophyll a appeared at depth 50-75 m, the nutrients water mass distributed at the east of the depth 150 m, the T-S water mass distributed at the west of the surface in winter. The high clustering center value water mass in chlorophyll a appeared at depth 50 m, the nutrients water mass appeared at the northeastern of the depth 150 m, the T-S water mass distributed at west of the surface in spring. The high clustering center value water mass in chlorophyll a appeared at the northeastern of the depth 150 m, the nutrients water mass appeared at northeastern of surface, the T-S water mass distributed at the surface in summer. The high clustering center value water mass in chlorophyll a appeared at the Southeastern of the depth 25 m, the nutrients water mass appeared at northeastern of the 150 m, the T-S water mass distributed at west of the surface in fall.
In conclusion, the water masses had different characteristics during variable seasons of southwestern Taiwan by fuzzy classification method. This results can help to figure out the properties of the water mass distribution in the Southwestern waters of Taiwan.
