碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 輪機工程系 / 100 / The study investigated the possibilities of energy-saving of auxiliary machineries of merchant ship through
experiments of the systems. Analyzing frictional forces of hydraulic actuator based on experimental data provides a correction of friction. The complexity of kinetic behaviors of hydraulic actuator justifies the analytical formula of frictional forces. Further discussion about the fricitons helps to understand energy consumption and saving of the system.
Feasibility of a small rotating device which vaporizes water in partial vacuum studied to reduce energy comsumption for boiling the water. Orifices at the end of the rotating arms are designed based on experiments of the optimal design of the nozzle. Water goes through such orifices under constant temperature and vacuum pressure could have an atomization effect. With designing of proper diameter of the orifice, water flows with a great deal of speed and kinetic energy which rotates the rotating arms of the device﹒Based on the theories of fresh water generator, the lowest temperature and pressure of the rotational nozzle found to verify the feasibility of desalination of such a rotational mechanism. Ultimately, optimizing energy consumption and alternative energy sources for fresh water gneration are to be discussed.
