碩士 / 東海大學 / 管理碩士在職專班 / 100 / In a long period, glass substrate had been an industry dominated by few companies, and all the techniques are in hand of the U.S.A and Japan.However, TFT-LCD faceplate industry sprang up quickly so that related components industries gather, and glass substrate manufacturers invest in the market in Taiwan one after another. Because of the process of glass substrate manufacture, the pre-section process of pot-shaping manufacture costs a large sum of funds so that it is uneasy to develop the core technology. In contrast, the subsequent process is easier and costs fewer funds. The feature of the process is that, when adopting delay strategy, it makes more utility, which enables glass substrate manufacturers to deal with waving demand of the market. This process makes way for great business of logistic service.
This research takes a newly-founded logistic service company as the object. First, it discusses how a new company survives in a single area where the competition is drastic, how the company strides contract relationship and gets credit from glass substrate manufacturers. Second, it analyzes the features as well as unique ability of logistic service enterprises, and last finds out managing strategies of third-party logistic service enterprises.
This research takes company Y as the example, discussing the effect of partnership evolution on strategic outsourcing, and concludes managing strategies of company Y:
1.The method of glass substrate manufacture : the pre section of manufacture process of hot end is continuous, and the afterward section of manufacture process of cool end is flexible, so it is necessary to adopt delay strategy to make room for logistic service market.
2.logistic service enterprises could provide each client with customization, and construct nice partnership, deepening credit to each other.
3.Rather than low-price-strategy outsourcing service, logistic service enterprises add diverse service items to supplement the difference of the price and to reach an acceptable price.
4.Strategic outsourcing could bring logistic service companies infinite business. In addition, this research reflects how logistic service companies strides contract relationship and sees that insourcing service could deepen credit and then firm the partnership.
