碩士 / 東海大學 / 教育研究所 / 100 / The main purpose of this study is to investigate how the experience of pre-service teachers who participate in The After School Online Tutoring Project to elevate their teacher professional development. This is a qualitative research.
The results indicate that the pre-service teachers’ teaching experience has three aspects: the pre-service teachers have to search information online, and make digital teaching materials for online tutoring; and then, they have to teach and counsel students online; besides, they have to accompany students on union days, discuss teaching experience with peers, and write teaching journal.
The pre-service teachers obtain two aspects of teacher professional development:
1. They enlarge their professional knowledge and teaching skills from preparing digital teaching material and teaching students online; they improve their student counseling ability and interaction skills during counseling students online and on union days.
2. They get reflective on the role of teacher and realize how to be a model for students by being online tutoring teachers, and know the teacher’s responsibility is to accompany students, and encourage them.
