碩士 / 元智大學 / 資訊管理學系 / 100 / Despite of the progress on medicine and information technology, the telemedicine of intensive care unit (ICU) is impeded by heterogeneous data interfaces of modern medical instruments. It’s crucial to develop an effective tele-ICU model that can enhance medical quality of intensive cares for patients living in rural areas. The major objective of this study is to propose a new tele-ICU model for clinical cardiology. In this study, several challenges in developing tele-cardiology are discussed, including (1) the acquisition and delivery of vital signals; (2) the information security for patient privacy; and (3) the collaboration between on-site and remote-site medical and nursing members. In conclusion, this proposed tele-ICU model for cardiology can become a valuable reference on developing tele-CCU.
