The effects of carbon dioxide and wastewater on lipid productivity of microalgae / 探討二氧化碳與廢水對微藻油脂累積的影響

碩士 / 中原大學 / 生物環境工程研究所 / 101 / To develop biomass energy is getting serious because of shortage of fossil fuel and low polluting production such as sulfites and carbon dioxide especially treating microalgae as a material. The microalgae are capable to transform the inorganic and organic carbon into lipids via photosynthesis which compositions are not only similar to diesel but also produce less pollution.
In this study, we had selected and purified the superior algae to construct our experimental models. Then we used batch cultures to observe the differences of lipid and biomass productivities which were monitored in gradient conditions of CO2 concentrations, compositions of the medium and light intensities. These data suggested the best conditions of microalgal culturing moreover improved the possibility of using the recycled wastewater and gas in the biomass energy producing system.
According to our results, there was a high potential microalga, S-a, which grow fast and contented high lipid productivity under best cultured conditions and medium. At the beginning of microalgal culturing, the growth rate was 1.34481, and the average of biomass productivities was 93.95 mg / L / d; in artificial wastewater medium, the biomass productivity of algae reached 121.57 mg / L / d, and lipid productivity was 50.7 mg / L / d.
With wastewater of the factory, the abundant microalgal biomass were detected at seventh cultured day in 0%, 10%, and 20% CO2 concentration, and the biomass were 1633.5±13.5 mg/L、1751±199 mg/L、2227.5±127.5 mg/L respectively. The higher biomass and lipid productivity of microalgae were harvested in 20% CO2 concentration such as 424.63±22.13 mg/L、70.04±3.65 mg/L respectively.
