Reconstructing the Living Space of Pitou Fishey Settlement / 東北角鼻頭漁村生活空間改造企畫

碩士 / 華梵大學 / 建築學系碩士班 / 101 / Pitou Settlement, located in Taiwan’s northeastern coastline, has been slowly sidelined through modernization. However, its special ocean geography and unique society with an appeal from its fishing culture shouldn’t be ignored. Although it wasn’t part of the farm colonization route of the Han Chinese, it was able to utilize its unique geography of facing the sea with its back to the mountains along with the use of torch light net fishing, to gets its resources. Hence, shaping a unique living space based primarily in the fishing industry. This unique industry is worth redesigning and exploring to promote economic development and return it to its prime. Furthermore, the redesigning and exploring can serve as a basis for government agencies to consider when it does its own planning and building.
